Winter WARMUP Clinics

Rookies (6-8 year olds) $75
1:00 – 2:30 Bethany Town Hall Gym
Instruction provided by League coaches

Minors/ Majors (9-12 year olds) $100
1:00 – 4:00 Amity High School *
Instruction provided by Quinnipiac University Coaching Staff and Players

* If there are a large enough number of registrations, Minors Clinics will be held from 1:00 – 2:15 and Majors Clinics from 2:30 – 4:00; if there is one group, the Clinic will run from 1:00 – 3:00.

* No clinics February 14th (Winter Recess/President's Day Weekend).

* The last two weeks (March 7 & 14) are player evaluation and choosing teams.

* Clinics will emphasize proper techniques for throwing, fielding, sliding and hitting.

* All players should bring a glove, bat and helmet, (as well as long pants for sliding drills - Minors and Majors only). Bats and helmets will be available for those who need to use them.

PITCHERS/CATCHERS CLINICS

BethWood Softball is pleased to announce a Pitching and Catching Clinic for any girl interested in learning the proper techniques of being a softball pitcher or catcher.
Pitching will be taught by Leslie Malerich, a former Stratford Brakette, a three-time All-American at Florida State and ACC Player of the Year. Leslie was a member of the 2004 Italian Olympic Team, and currently pitches for the Italian National Team.
Catchers will be taught the fundamentals by a member of the Quinnipiac University Softball team, and lessons will focus on proper positioning behind the plate, blocking balls in the dirt, getting up to throw and fielding bunts.
Sessions will begin immediately following our ongoing Winter Clinic and will run from 3 PM to 4 PM on Sunday afternoons at the Amity High School Gym beginning on Sunday, January 31 and continuing through Sunday March 14 (No clinics on Sunday, Feb. 14).
